STABILISER CATTLE
We run a suckler herd consisting of 55 Stabiliser cows that we are grading up to a pure Stabiliser herd. Our current Stabiliser stock bulls include Givendale Pumba, Stonehouse Viking, Stonehouse William and Stonehouse Wilson.
THE STONEHOUSE SUCKLER HERD
The herd has evolved from a traditional type of dairy and continental cross cow to a progressive, performance recorded herd grading up to pure-bred Stabilisers.
THE STABILISER BREED
The Stabiliser is an American composite breed which has been bred to live in range conditions and produce quality calves for the beef industry. This improved genetics has now been imported back into the UK and Stonehouse Farm is now a multiplier herd. This means we have a market for breeding Stabiliser heifers.
